TESE - TESA

This is when no sperm is found in the ejaculation (semen) of the patient and therefore the sperm is acquired from testicle tissues.

In some special cases even when the sperm count is normal the sperm may be motionless in that condition TESE procedure is advised.

TESE is a painless procedure that is carried out under local anesthesia. After retrieving tissue samples from both of the testicles and a series of procedures live sperm cells are separated and these sperms are used in the microinjection (ICSI) procedure.

We recommend that the patient considers freezing the leftover sperms for subsequent microinjection procedures.
